"Living a Buddhist Life: Vegetarianism"
Bodhipaksa has written a book about vegetarianism as a Buddhist practice, and you can read more about the book "Vegetarianism", including sample chapters, on this site.
Wave Magazine Review
This book, the first in a series on different aspects of Buddhist life, doesn’t seek to convert as much as it aims to ensure that we have the relevant information we need in order to make enlightened decisions about our food consumption. The author, a practising Buddhist and qualified vet, became a vegetarian after a visit to an abattoir, and uses this experience as a springboard to examine the differences between unskilful actions (i.e. those that proceed from ignorance) and skilful actions (i.e. those that come from wisdom and generosity). The book also covers awareness and non-awareness regarding food as the most basic aspect of our lives, by destroying the protection the West is given from knowing the true details of meat production. Read this book if you dare - all romanticised and sanitised views of farming and justifications for meat consumption are laid bare and forced to stand alone in the face of some truly distressing and despicable statistics.
"Vegetarianismo: La dieta mas sana y solidaria"

"Vegetarianism" is available in Spanish as "Vegetarianismo: La dieta mas sana y solidaria" as part of Ediciones Oniro’s series entitled "El Viaje Interior".

“Vegetarianism" will soon be appearing in a Taiwanese translation.
"Guided Meditations" (Wildmind, 2002)

Amazon.com Reviewer
This is hands-down the best meditation CD I’ve come across. I’d give it 6 stars if I could. It’s not tarted up with hokey sound effects and New Age music but is simply the teacher’s (very pleasant) voice, guiding you to calm and relaxation. His approach is highly accessible for Westerners and really taught me how to meditate. I’m such a big fan of this CD, in fact, that I’ve bought at least four to give as gifts to stressed-out friends and family members. (One of the recipients was a voice teacher who said she could listen to him all night.) If you like what you hear, you should also check out the outstanding online meditation courses he offers on wildmind.org. I can’t recommend the CD or the courses highly enough.
