Half Plow Pose

Ardha Halasana

Half plow

This gentle upside-down pose gets you used to inversions and relaxes body and mind while extending the muscles of your upper back and neck and lengthening your waist.

Check that you’re the right distance from the chair: Lie down for the pose and stretch your arms over your head. Push the chair legs away until your arms are straight. Keep the shoulders on the folded blankets.

You should not do this posture if you:

  • Suffer from high blood pressure
  • Have a detached retina
  • Feel any pressure in the head or neck
  • Have your period
