Buddhist mindfulness and tennis practice

Speaking Tree: Although Serbian Novak Djokovic was beaten at the Wimbledon finals by local star Andy Murray, I’m sure his Buddhist practice helped him to view the upset philosophically.

After all, Djokovic seems to spend a good amount of time meditating, Buddhist style. During Wimbledon, he has been spotted meditating at a Buddhist center in Wimbledon village. In his words, “It’s very calm and quiet, obviously. During these two weeks of hectic Grand Slam atmosphere, there is huge amount of pressure and stress, so you need to have a place where you can switch off and recharge your batteries.”
