I’m now 19 and experiencing being a dad. I must say although it feels good it’s still hard. I knew it wouldn’t be easy but to be honest, the hard part is having to balance time. My daughter is great and makes managing her never dreadful. -Teen dad

The story about the servant bringing the tea was particularly great. Jon Kabat-Zinn said in a retreat once that children were like little zen masters sent to challenge our attachments. Many of us are trying to find a balance between acting as a parent and developing the mindfulness so helpful in parenting. This article really helps. Maybe I can appreciate the value of the meditation more when it takes more commitment to make it happen. I will think of all of you during meditations and send good wishes!
