You could say that there&#039;s no such thing as an &#039;unsuccessful&#039; meditation.  As long as you sit down with an intention to meditate, whatever happens is your successful meditation.  Even if you realise that your attention has wondered away from your intended focus, then being aware of that is your successful meditation.

The main thing is that you are clear what you are doing (see tip 1) and then have a go.  Once you are finished, spend a few minutes reviewing how it went with an attitude of kindly curiosity.  Just notice without labelling it &#039;good&#039; or &#039;bad&#039;.  Meditation is always perfect just the way it is (just as you are) and it is always showing you something interesting about yourself.
