Investigating the nature of meditation

Ventura County Reporter: If you have pursued yoga or martial arts you probably have been exposed to the concept of meditation. Years ago when I was learning a Tai Chi form, I was intrigued to discover the nature of meditation. As an artist I found that how I approached painting was actually a form of meditation. Using the “eight limbs of yoga,” specifically the last three, dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation) and samadhi (absorption), we can investigate the nature of meditation.
