Thank you for your interest in Wildmind’s Community-Supported Meditation Initiative!
Our supporters get access to:
- All of Wildmind’s existing meditation courses (of which there are more than 30).
- An online community where we can discuss our practice
- A monthly newsletter with meditation downloads, and articles that are only for sponsors.
- Daily online meditations on Zoom.
You can choose any number of shares to sponsor. The average person sponsors two shares. There are no extra benefits (besides good karma) for sponsoring more shares, but that’s an option open to you if you want to show extra appreciation and if you can afford it. I’d certainly be very grateful if you sponsor more than one share.
If you have more questions, I’ve created an FAQ page here.
Love,
Bodhipaksa
If you’d prefer to use a credit or debit card, you can download a credit card billing authorization form. You can complete this on-screen, then print, sign, and return it to us by mail or email.
Please note that this initiative does not include access to Bodhipaksa’s Bodhi Mind app for iPhone, which requires a separate subscription.
You can cancel your membership at any time.

I am interested in supporting this; waiting for next paycheck; then I can start and add it to my budget. I enjoy the newsletter; currently no attending sangham with any group. Like to practice on my own.
Hi, I signed up today to join the community and wondered when will I have access? I really love the 6 element meditation. I hope you will do more in that area.
Hi, Alex.
Thanks for your support. We sent you two emails yesterday, one of which was a welcome message explaining how the initiative works, and the other being the July newsletter, which contained links to various things, including two courses you can join. Today I’ll be sending out a link so that you can join the online community. Please let me know if you have any problems.
All the best,
Bodhipaksa
Hello I have an iPhone 7 and just
Wanted to check if I can access the materials, esp Get Your Sit Together (great title) from it? Also I’m on the uk so will the payment system automatically convert?
Many thanks
Lisa Flach
Hi, Lisa.
Yes, everything is accessible on an iPhone. And with PayPal, conversions are seamless and free.
All the best,
Bodhipaksa
HI can you please check that I am subscribed ? I could not use my regular email: gem5@telus.net the billing would not let me and so I used georgina@cfpsych.ca.
I would prefer to use gem5@telus.net. Thank you
No problem, Georgina. I unsubscribed your .ca address and added your telus.net address.
I also practice meditation im a member of Sri Chinmoy meditation group . But how come you charge for your services
I’m not “charging for my services,” Rashid. People are supporting my work financially, and I’m sharing my practice with them and with the world. It’s a model that’s been used since the earliest days of Buddhism, except that mostly what was given then was food, robes, and dwellings, while now it’s (mostly small) financial donations.
I signed up a couple of months ago. The money is coming out is PayPal and I get notifications that it is being done. I have not received anything yet.
I’m looking into it now, Rita.
I’ve emailed you, Rita.
I am really frustrated, still have no idea of how to get to content.
Now that I’ve received your correct email address I’ve added you to the mailing list. You should already have received the first Community Newsletter.
Hi Bodhipaksa, I set up an automatic payment for a share on the 10th of August, and received Paypal confirmations, but nothing from your end, so I’m following up to be sure you’ve added me to your mailing list for the Community Newsletter. (I also subscribe to Bodhimind.) Please let me know if there is anything further I need to do. Thank you!
Hi, Donna.
We have actually sent you a few emails. Have you checked the Updates and Promotions tabs in your Gmail Inbox? (It’s also worth checking your trash and spam folders.) Search for mail coming from community@wildmind.org and you should find three messages.
All the best,
Bodhipaksa
Hmm. This is a mystery. I have looked high and low, but don’t see anything. Perhaps it would help to try another email address, the one I’m now using to post? Thank you for your help.
I just realized I’d assumed you were using Gmail, but that you’re not. If the emails haven’t been arriving then we can certainly try your icloud address. In fact I’ll try adding it right now.
I need to cancel my subscription. How do I facilitate this?
It’s already taken care of, George, but for the sake of anyone else reading these comments who has the same question, subscribers can cancel at any time by logging in to their PayPal account.
I’m interested but hate monthly payments. Why no yearly option?
I’ll give that some thought, BJ. When I set this up a few months ago I wanted a system that was as straightforward as possible, and monthly payments seemed easiest. In principle there’s no reason why we couldn’t have annual payments, though.
Here you go, BJ. If you follow this link you can sponsor shares by making an annual payment.
Hi there, I joined as a subscriber about 4 days ago but haven’t received a welcome email or access. Perhaps I sent the incorrect email address?
Hi, Dan.
Sorry about that. I don’t know why it wasn’t taken care of. I’ve sent a message to Jennifer, my assistant, asking her to make sure you get set up as soon as possible.
All the best,
Bodhipaksa
Hi there. I’ve somehow lost the derails you sent on how to access courses, community etc. Could you possibly re-send.? Sorry to be a pain
Hi, Paul.
The details are in the monthly community newsletter. The November newsletter will be going out tomorrow, so you’ll be able to sign up for courses then.
If you look for the “welcome” email you received when you became a sponsor you’ll find a link that allows you to register for the community.
All the best,
Bodhipaksa
Is there a way that I can subscribe with a 1-time payment for 12 months instead of monthly recurring??
Hi, Peter.
Yes, paying annually is possible if you use this page to register.
All the best,
Bodhipaksa
Hi Bodhi, I decided to subscribe to the iPhone ‘ Bodhi Mind Meditations’ app instead. It would be nice to have a taster course to get an idea of how they work. I really enjoy your work. Best of luck with your initiative, Kate
I’m sure that from time to time I’ll be doing some free mini-courses, Kate.
Hi, I joined yesterday so I could get access to all courses, as stated above, but can’t seem to find many? I am interested in the “get your sit on” course? Please could you help me? Metta, Clare
Hi, Clare.
Thank you for subscribing. If you look in the Community Newsletter (which you should have received by now) you’ll find links to the courses that are available this month. You’ll also find a link to the draft course schedule, so you can see when the other courses will run. Unfortunately it’s not practical to offer all of the courses simultaneously.
All the best,
Bodhipaksa
Oh, that’s a shame as the text above says that all courses are available…(the bit that says “ Our supporters get access to: All of Wildmind’s existing meditation courses (of which there are around 30)”). I wouldn’t have subscribed now if I had realised that the courses weren’t all available all of the time…
Hi, Clare.
I’m sorry for the disappointment, but it’s simply not practical for me to run dozens of courses simultaneously. Just running two a month stretches to me my limits. Anyway, I’ve cancelled your subscription and refunded your payment in full.
All the best,
Bodhipaksa
Greetings Bodhipaksa,
Will you create a Wildmind Meditation app for Android devices sometime in the future? What is the mean of sponsoring a “share” for the Wildmind intiative? Does a share refer to an employee of Wildmind? Given that you have provided so many free articles and recorded guided meditations on your website, what is the benefit to joining this intiative?
Regards,
Dev
Hi, Dev.
Thanks for writing.
I’m told that it would cost around $20,000 to develop an Android version of the Bodhi Mind app, and also that the prospects for earning that money back aren’t high, or are at least very long-term. So although it might happen — and I want it to happen — it’s simply not feasible at the moment. If this initiative continues to grow then hopefully one day it will be.
Most of the questions you’ve asked will likely be answered here. (I’ve added that link to the article above as well.)
I would have thought that if you liked and benefited from the articles and guided meditations that are available for free on the site, then you’d be interested in learning more. But that’s up to you, of course!
All the best,
Bodhipaksa
Greetings Bodhipaksa,
Thank you for linking me over to the FAQ page on the Initiative. I have a better understanding of the exclusive articles and courses that are provided with a subscription.
Have you considered starting a fundraiser or some other sort of program to raise money for the Bodhi Mind app? I, and several others, would be more than happy to contribute a donation!
Regards,
Dev
Hi, Dev.
Yes, I’d need to run some kind of fundraiser.
In fact I ran a crowdfunding project to raise funds for the iOS version of the app. I couldn’t have done it otherwise. The developer agreed to do that half-price in return for getting 50% of the profits from the app. That worked out well. I hoped that the profits from the iOS app would help fund an Android version, but it doesn’t yet bring in much money.
Unfortunately our developer’s not able to take on developing an Android version, so we’d end up paying twice as much for the Android version, and therefore having to raise twice as much as we did last time, which would be a challenge. It’s something I will continue to look into, but right now my hands are full with getting this community-supported meditation initiative fully funded. Once that’s done, I’ll give more thought to how we can make an Android version of the app happen.
All the best,
Bodhi
I use an Android phone Samsung. Will there be an app for this type of phone that I may use?
Hi, Jill.
Everything pertaining to this Initiative can be accessed on an Android phone. If it’s the Bodhi Mind app you’re thinking of, that’s a completely separate project, and for the foreseeable future that’s only going to exist as an iPhone version. We just don’t have the resources to have an Android version developed.
All the best,
Bodhipaksa
Hi. Is there a way I can make a one-time donation by credit card but without using
Pay Pal? Thanks.
TY but I found the form y’all use for annual donations.
Thank you!
Hi. I want to make a one-time, non-PayPal donation by credit card but
can’t find the place here again to do that. Thanks and a bigger thanks
for the “Finding Calm in a Crisis.” meditation series during the pandemic.
For that, the only fitting way for me to thank you is through a donation.
Thank you, my friend! I’ve emailed you a link where you can make a one-time donation.
Hi. TY for the free meditation series on YT! It has helped and to
get it to help more, I’m going to replay it. A question: Which of your
books would be more instructive to read during the pandemic– “Living as a
River” or ” This Difficult Thing of Being Human?” The former seems (based on
the Amazon blurbs) seems to put external events into perspective (rolling with the punches of change) while the latter seems more about putting oneself into a better perspective by not punching oneself in the face with criticism, sabotaging self-talk, etc. TY D
I’d definitely suggest This Difficult Thing of Being Human. Skills of self-compassion are critical anytime, but especially when times are challenging.
