We all long for someone who will love us unconditionally. But what if that person is us?
How to Stop Beating Yourself Up: A Wildmind Retreat in Florida, Feb 26-28, 2016
Most us us have the habit of being hard on ourselves. We talk unkindly to ourselves and often we sacrifice our own well-being in order to “get things done.” We blame ourselves when things go wrong, and often fear that if we stop doing so we’ll cease to perform well.
On this weekend retreat, Bodhipaksa will introduce a step-by-step guide to self-compassion, so that we can learn to be more gentle with and understanding of ourselves.
On this weekend we’ll have a gentle program of workshops, talks, discussions, and meditations—including guided meditations. There will be time for rest, relaxation, and exploration.
The retreat will take place in the beautiful surroundings of the Florida Retreat Center in Palmetto, near Sarasota.
Bodhipaksa has been practicing meditation for well over 30 years, and has been teaching for two decades. He has published more than a dozen books and audiobooks on meditation and Buddhism, in several languages. He mainly teaches online, though Wildmind, the online meditation center he founded in 2001, although he teaches across North America and internationally.
